Today we would like to invite you to join us for a new episode of the KF Artists In The Spotlight released on the KOSCIUSZKO TV YOUTUBE CHANNEL. In this episode, we will visit Zofie King's creative studio. As always we value your support. If you would like to see more videos like this in the future, subscribe to our KOSCIUSZKO TV channel.
Born in Poland and raised in Germany, Zofie King came to the US in 1998. After graduating with a psychology degree in 2002, she studied at Towson University, then worked in interior design while taking classes at MICA and the Corcoran, and in 2012 devoted herself to her studio art practice.
Ms. King is primarily a sculptor who uses found objects and incorporates various mediums including molded paper, resin, fabrics, black acrylic, encaustic, watercolor, cyanotypes, and LED lights. She assembles pieces into psychological cabinets of curiosity that examine beliefs, perceptions, and lore.
The Kosciuszko Foundation online programs are supported by Krystyna Piorkowska Foundation.
