For the third year, The Kosciuszko Foundation supported therapeutic camps in Poland for Ukrainian families whose husbands and fathers have been killed, gone missing, or remain imprisoned due to the ongoing war.

In partnership with Fundacja Humanitarna Folkowisko and SOS Wioski Dziecięce, the 10-day program provided care, rest, and healing for mothers and children. Families found refuge in the quiet of the Polish countryside, where trauma began to ease through daily activities, creative workshops, and sessions with psychologists.
Joy slowly returned—through zoo visits, stargazing, ropes courses, and shared laughter.
This project is part of our broader initiative to support Ukrainians affected by the war. Since the beginning of the invasion, the Kosciuszko Foundation has raised over $1.8 million and engaged in various humanitarian, educational, and cultural preservation programs to aid Ukraine.
"This initiative holds special meaning for us, as it directly helps those most vulnerable—children and their mothers who have lost everything. Providing a safe space where they can find moments of peace and begin the healing process reflects our commitment to the values of compassion, solidarity, and humanity,” said KF President and Executive Director Marek Skulimowski.
Please consider supporting the KF Help Ukraine Fund so we can continue and expand this vital work.
