The new therapy is available in our office to treat patients with the PTSD condition.

The Newest Therapy for Severe PTSD

Stellate ganglion block (SGB) has been shown to produce rapid improvement in most patients with treatment-refractory PTSD.

The PTSD is a real problem affecting significant number of patients. Regular people in addition to military personnel, police officers as well as victims of traumas, life-threatening accidents (MVA), natural disasters, etc. are all affected and suffer from severe symptoms.

The traditional therapy may not be effective for multiple of the reasons including but not limited to: length of time required for treatment that may result in poor compliance, side effects of the medications, etc.

The stellate ganglion block (SGB) - the cervico-thoracic sympathetic nerve block - has been shown to provide clinically improvement in 75% of cases within a very short time after the procedure.

The implications of stellate ganglion block (SGB) for enhancing psychiatric care are substantial. The rapid treatment cycle could address the high rate of attrition with current therapies. Another significant benefit of SGB is that it offers medical approach to managing the PTSD providing prolonged psychotherapeutic effects with a single intervention and immediate relief of psychiatric symptoms.

We welcome your referrals and will be happy to provide the highest levels of care for your patients.
